South Sudan: the newest country in the world

Congratulations to South Sudan on becoming the world’s newest country. I would have liked to still be there for this occasion, but it was pretty interesting to be there for the referendum that set the wheels in motion for the last short stretch of South Sudan’s path to independence. It was also pretty cool to witness the first flight of South Sudan’s Air Force (SPAF).
